Accompagnamento degli Operatori sanitari nel contesto della Pandemia da Covid-19
Un ciclo di cinque conferenze internazionali organizzato dal Dicastero per la promozione dello sviluppo umano integrale per cercare di rispondere a come aiutare gli operatori sanitari e pastorali che si sono trovati in condizioni di affaticamento e sotto stress continuo per turni massacranti, mancanza di personale, equipaggiamento protettivo, nello svolgimento delle loro attività in prima linea nell’emergenza della pandemia; condizioni che hanno avuto ripercussioni psicologiche e incrementato il rischio di compromettere la salute mentale nel breve e a lungo termine.
Si presterà ascolto a testimonianze vissute da operatori, alla condivisione di esperienze maturate nel mondo in Europa, negli Usa e nel Canada, in Africa e nel Medio Oriente, in Asia, Oceania e America Latina. Si cercherà di rispondere a: quale sostegno possiamo offrire? chi ora dovrebbe essere accompagnato in quanto corre il rischio del burnout? come possiamo proteggere gli operatori professionisti della salute che prestano cure e assistenza? che cosa abbiamo appreso dalla relazione tra chi presta la cura e chi è curato? quale è il ruolo dei medici nel processo decisionale?
